When I say amateur, I absolutely mean amateur. I hardly sway from standard settings on my cameras (Sony Cybershot 10.1MP, and more recently, Samsung Galaxy S2 8MP), aside from turning the flash on and off. I don’t believe I have an eye for photography whatsoever. I do, however, enjoy doing it. I take hundreds of photos and usually end up with at least a few I’m proud of. Typically I take pictures of moments I want to capture, but more recently I’ve become interested in experimental photography. I’ll take an area – my front yard, my kitchen, a random side road – and take pictures of absolutely everything I can, from as many angles as I can. I end up with a lot of garbage – but I end up with some I’m not embarrassed to show off as well.
I post most photos in galleries on my main blog page, often found with a short write-up of where I was and what I was doing when the photo was taken.
Some of my photosets can be found here on Flickr, under the username “RachFee”. I only began to use Flickr recently, and will be looking to add older pictures at a later date.
Of course, any mention of photography wouldn’t be complete without examples, so here are a few pictures I’ve taken in the last several weeks. Enjoy!
